Bedroom Interior

This "Bedroom Interior" is part of a game concept in an adventure and mystery style game. The player's perspective is a point of view where they have to search a room to find the missing object which can be collected to solve a mystery puzzle. Each item that they find may reveal a clue or a piece of the puzzle. Players have to collect all the clues before they can solve the puzzle and find the missing object. By interacting with assets such as books, draws, picture frames, cupboards and other assets they can quickly solve the mystery.

The assets were created using Autodesk Maya and all unique assets were textured in Substance Painter, for textures such as the plastered wall, this was designed using Substance Designer where I achieved a realistic style. The art style I was going for leans slightly towards realism however, I still think it holds a game like aesthetic. All renders were produced in Unreal Engine 5 which I was satisfied with as it replicates the art style and level design that I was aspiring to achieve. As well as this, I was pleased with the result of the lighting where in this case it is set around midday however, I would like to experiment and utilise the wall lamps and desk lamps in an evening scene to show the contrast between the two. This will also display how they look at different times of the day which could showcase how the mood changes within the environment.
